King Abdullah University Registration Requirements 2025
Candidates must meet the following requirements to be considered for the King Abdullah University Scholarship for Non-Saudis 2025:
- All applicants must have the pre-requisite educational background to enroll in the available majors.
- Students from any country can apply for a scholarship.
- Students who will be entering classes in the spring or fall of 2025 are eligible to apply for these scholarships.
- No minimum GPA is required, but admitted students typically have a 3.7 GPA. Some admitted students had GPAs above the 3.7 average, while others had slightly lower averages. The committee considers the application as a whole.

King Abdullah University Scholarship Application Documents
To apply for the King Abdullah University Scholarships for Non-Saudis 2025, please prepare the following documents:
Official Credentials: All transcripts, diplomas, and academic records from previously attended schools must be submitted. Both the official transcript in the original language and a certified English translation must be uploaded. All submitted work must be accompanied by a transcript displaying the grading scale used by the institution.
Your CV: A summary of your professional and academic background. Please provide summaries of your articles in your CV.
Statement of Purpose: Write 750 words about your work experience, how you prepared for your preferred field of study, your relevant background and interests, your educational and professional goals, and your academic and career plans. Provide some background information about why you want to enroll in the specific KAUST degree program.
Three letters of recommendation are required: References from teachers and advisors in your major field who have reviewed your research or taught courses. The recommender must submit the letter of recommendation through the online application.
GRE Record Exam Scores: If you have taken the GRE and would like to share your scores, you are free to do so, but it is optional. Applicants should use GRE Code 4139 to submit their official test scores directly to KAUST.
English language requirements at King Abdullah University
- IELTS (International English Language Testing System) score of 6.5 with a minimum overall band of 5.5
- Minimum score of 79 on the TOEFL iBT (Internet-Based Test) with a minimum score of 17 in each part; King Abdullah University admission code: 4107
- Pearson Test of English (PTE) Standardized test scores must be at least 59 in each subject area for a total of 62 to be considered a pass.
- A total score of 176 on the CAE, with a score of 169 or higher in each section required to be considered for Advanced Level
- If the candidate holds a degree from a recognized university in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Ireland, Australia, or New Zealand, he or she does not need to provide an English language proficiency score.
