The Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST) is often referred to as the Asian equivalent of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). The scholarships offered by the Korean government require only a certificate demonstrating English proficiency. Language studies, with a focus on English, are offered in a variety of courses.
